چکیده

With the emergence of innovations associated with public transport (PT) services, such as Mobility-as-a-Service, demand responsive transit, and autonomous vehicles, door-to-door PT journey is achievable via multiple transfers between within different modes. As such, seamless modes transportation become an increasingly important factor for attractiveness services. At same time, recent developments in travel time prediction methodologies offer new, reliable data sources optimization operations. This work, consideration these two elements, develops a mixed integer linear programming model schedule synchronization problem. The novelty threefold. First, novel concept path-oriented scheduling proposed. path transfer explicitly formulated minimized to provide experience considering that emerging multimodal mobility inevitably induces transfers. Second, time-dependent also utilized model, which allows us harness new more representative improving Third, order complement increase computational complexity result utilization data, three valid inequalities (VIs) are derived. Numerical studies show use beneficial terms reducing times, when compared using mean historical times. numerical study reveals tradeoff maximum allowable trip time. Using simulation on bus lines Copenhagen, we demonstrate could reduce computation by 8.5% average, where reduction reach 54.0%. proposed benchmarked against classes literature. It found outperform those We further improvement performance can be attained combination inequalities.

Time-Dependent Statistical Analysis of Wide-Area Time-Synchronized Data

Characterization of spatial and temporal changes in the dynamic patterns of a nonstationary process is a problem of great theoretical and practical importance. On-line monitoring of largescale power systems by means of time-synchronized Phasor Measurement Units PMUs provides the opportunity to analyze and characterize inter-system oscillations. Wide-area measurement sets, however, are often rel...

Traveling Path Recommendation Using Temporal Transit Patterns

In this work, we aim to collectively recommend traveling paths by leveraging the check-in data through mining the moving behaviors of users. We call such traveling paths as Temporal Transit Patterns (TTP), which capture the representative traveling behaviors over consecutive locations, from the big check-in data. To achieve such goal, we propose a novel Temporal Transit Pattern Mining method (T...

Path Construction and Visit Scheduling for Targets using Data Mules

This paper considers the target patrolling problem which asks a set of mobile data collectors (or data mules) to efficiently patrol a set of given targets. Since the time interval (also referred to visiting interval) for consecutive visits to each target reflects the monitoring quality of this target, the goal of this research is to balance the visiting interval of each target. This paper first...

Modeling Transit Trip Time Using Archived Bus Dispatch System Data

Transit travel time and operating speed influence service attractiveness, operating cost, and system efficiency. The objective of this paper is to estimate the values of parameters that affect the total travel time for a particular bus route in Portland, Oregon. The Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon ~TriMet! provides transit service in the three-county Portland metropolitan area. T...

Using AVL Data to Improve Transit On-Time Performance

This paper describes an approach for improving on-time performance at transit agencies. It takes advantage of the schedule adherence information from an AVL system. A methodology that can be used to update the bus timetables by using AVL schedule adherence data is described. Using statistical analysis, the main goal is to maximize the density area of the on-time performance range. From this dis...
